A software utility called TimeSink was being used by eGames as a way to collect information about website visitors. The office of the Michigan Attorney General threatened legal action if eGames didn't make some changes. The software that comes from a company called Conducent Inc. of Sterling, VA, was going to be discontinued anyway, according to the CEO of eGames.
