Article Abstract:

The Lyons enquiry report due at the end of 2007 would recommend abandoning the universal business tax rate in favor of the relocalization of rate levels, a move reminiscent of the conditions prevalent in 1982. Critics of relocalization believe that the move would impose an enormous administrative burden on national businesses, whereas its proponents argue that, while it might involve higher rates, it would also be beneficial to businesses.

Fuel for thought

Article Abstract:

Businesses must think of ways to reduce their energy bills, as there are predictions of a rise in fuel prices and a harsh winter. Some of the tips to reduce energy consumption include using energy saving light bulbs, switching of appliances not in use and implementing inexpensive conservation measures.
