COMPUTERWORLD TAKES BIG STEPS TO EMERGE AMID INDUSTRY SLUMP
Article Abstract:
Computerworld from International Data Group has been taking steps to ensure its survival as both advertising pages and revenues were lower in 1998 than in previous years. Fortunately, ad sales for Nov 1998 increased by 10% over the same month the previous year, and a new page design is ready to debut. In addition, Computerworld is highly regarded in the computer and advertising worlds, even though revenue has been flat, and the market has changed, as well.

Third time's the charm
Article Abstract:
Sotcher Measurement Inc. was able to break out of its traditional rental equipment and electrical repair markets and enter the appliance, tool and electronic components market with the help of business press publication Appliance. Its first two magazine advertising campaigns produced disappointing results, but the third one generated a significant number of inquiries from companies with the financial wherewithal to buy Sotcher products.
