Digital Now partners with Jun Ming to expand into Chinese markets

Article Abstract:

Digital Now Inc, a Vienna, VA-based supplier of digital imaging technology and electronic commerce solutions for the photo processing industry, has entered into a partnership with Guangzhou, China-based Jun Ming Inc. Under the partnership, Digital Now hopes to penetrate the digital imaging market of China and extends its influence into other technology growth-driven Asian countries. Jun Ming is its second partner in Asia after its partnership with Nihon Jumbo of Japan.

Lucky Film plans to expand to 2,700 stores

Article Abstract:

Lucky Film Co will add another 1,000 franchised stores to its distribution network in China in 2001. The company had 1,700 franchised stores as of Dec 2000, after posting more than 20% increase in sales and profits throughout the year. Lucky Film also plans to expand its share of the Chinese domestic photographic film in 2000. The company is the only local competitor of international companies such as Eastman Kodak and Fuji Photo Film.

Digital photo studio lighting is a significant factor

Article Abstract:

The most common problem encountered by digital photographers is the studio lighting. Fortunately, several manufacturers have developed one-shot cameras that are equipped with scanning backs to address various studio lighting problems. Some of these cameras employ instant-capture color sensors to match the resolution of low-end scanning backs, while some newer scanning backs are equipped with a tri-linear array.
