Two technology firms have joined together to integrate camera surveillance capabilities into Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and digital mapping software to get more of Department of Defense (DOD) and homeland security related business. The union between Technology Service Corp. (TSC) and ComCam International, Inc. has already helped the company to win a $10 million contract to create a new surveillance system at New York's JFK airport.

Codenamed 'Hormuz', Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is overseeing construction of a tunnel in the northeastern area of Tehran in 2006, which would be Iran's military's secret tunnel to aid that nation's clandestine nuclear program. The tunnel includes a vertical shaft 50 meters deep that connects to four-branched tunnel, six to nine meter wide.
