Insider trading activity in the stock market for the 1st qtr 1993 indicates a distinct top formation. Distribution has been very evident in several issues and traders capitalize on the bidirectional fluctuation of share prices. Long-term stock investments are not advisable at the moment despite the existence of satisfactory trading opportunities. Investors should be patient and wait for a price pull-back and insider accumulation.

Analysis of the Dow Industrials for Apr 1993 indicates minimal insider activity compared to last month while analysis of the industry sectors shows mixed insider profiles with interest sensitive sectors filling up the buy-side. Insider cluster activity also shows a neutral tone regarding overall market risks. The cluster program has not revealed any significant fluctuations so 'stock selection' is recommended.
