How does gene expression clustering work?

Article Abstract:

Gene expression clustering allows an open-ended exploration of the data, without getting lost among the thousands of individual genes. The quality of clustering result can be evaluated based on internal criteria based on various statistical properties of the clusters or external criteria that is, based on additional information that was not used in the clustering process itself.

What are DNA sequence motifs?

Article Abstract:

Sequence motifs are short, recurring patterns in DNA that are presumed to have a biological function. Most of them indicate sequence-specific binding sites form proteins such as nucleases and transcriptional factors, while others do important processes at the RNA level, including ribosome, binding, mRNA processing and transcriptional termination.
