Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to address the hitherto unrecognized problem of accurately delivering dendritic cells to their site of action. It demonstrated that dendritic cells labeled ex vivo with iron oxide particles could be tracked after transplantation in humans by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), allowing the cells' migration in vivo to be monitored.

In vivo cancer targeting and imaging with semiconductor quantum dots

Article Abstract:

The development of multifunctional nanoparticle probes based on semiconductor quantum dots (QDs) for cancer targeting and imaging in living animals is described. Results of a study raise new possibilities for ultrasensitive and multiplexed imaging of molecular imaging of molecular targets in vivo.

Human antibodies from immunized donors are protective against anthrax toxin in vivo

Article Abstract:

Research demonstrates neutralization of anthrax toxin in in vitro experiments using monoclonal Fabs generated in humans immunized against anthrax. Results show that some Fabs bind wih subnanomolar affinity, while another neutralizes toxin substoichiometrically and inhibits lethal factor.
