Making the most of real time

Article Abstract:

There has been an increase in interest in software for real-time trading with the increased popularity of day trading. Stock screening and balance sheet analysis are used by many investors rather than charting. There can be compatibility problems when feeding data into systems for real-time trading. Broadcast feeds do not all cover all stocks, and smaller Aim stocks are not included in the Prestel service. Upgrading is sometimes possible, allowing investors to start with cheaper versions.

Class monitors

Article Abstract:

Investment software packages can help investors to select stocks through technical analysis indicators, and can graph stock prices. Software can also analyse a stock portfolio's performance and its composition. Capital gains tax liabilities can also be calculated. The needs of investors vary in terms of sophistication and the size of their portfolios, and this affects the type of software they need. Some software focuses more on technical analysis, and other software may be more geared toward portfolio management.
