No thrills at Conister

Article Abstract:

Conister Trust is a finance house specializing in hire purchase finance for automobiles and equipment. The company is based on the Isle of Man and has links with some 30% of residents on the island, but needs to expand elsewhere in the UK if it is to grow. The company acquired two English brokers in Mar 1996 but this has not boosted its share price. The company could also expand into investment products but has delayed this due to caution. Conister's profit is forecast at 1 million pounds sterling for 1996.
