Federal Express Corp's 'Via FedEx' magazine, targeted at secretaries and other office professionals, is well-received by readers because it responds to their information needs. It covers personal and professional development topics, such as how to improve body language, international business etiquette, dealing with job stress, and how Federal Express services can improve job performance. Due to 'Via FedEx's' success, editor Joan McPeak plans to increase its circulation from 350,000 to 500,000, expand its contents, and publish it monthly instead of quarterly.

Business Marketing marks its 75th anniversary in 1992. Originally titled Class in 1916, the magazine was conceived as an advertising vehicle for another publication, the Hospital Management. After changing its name to Class & Industrial Advertising, then to Class & Industrial Marketing, then to Industrial Marketing, founder G.D. Crain Jr. finally settled on Business Marketing. The magazine remains to be the leader among business-to-business marketing publications.

Business Marketing marks its diamond jubilee as the leading publication on business-to-business marketing, advertising and sales. It started as a digest-sized magazine entitled, Class and served as an advertising vehicle for Hospital Management. Its title was changed to Industrial Marketing in 1935 and Business Marketing in 1983. The subjects which the publication cover include the different sectors of the US economy such as high technology and service industries.
