'PC World,' 'Forbes' roll electronic commerce section

Article Abstract:

The PC World magazine and Forbes magazine have agreed to publish a special section on the developments in commerce, electronic banking and stocks. Called 'Electronic Commerce,' the special section will be included in PC World's Sep. 1995 edition and in Forbes' Aug. 28, 1995 issue. PC World has developed similar joint publication agreements with Child and Newsweek in an effort to provide out-of-market, targeted message delivery opportunities to its advertisers.

Business publications are increasingly extending their brands into television and othe media. Farm Journal magazine, for example, has extended into television through its acquisition of a syndicated news show, "AgDay." Such extensions give publications a more balanced revenue stream and give marketers complementary means of targeting customers.
