The first quarter earnings per share of the year 2006 increased nearly 20 percent of United Technologies Corp. (UTC) in spite of a strike that took place at its Sikorsky Aircraft helicopter unit. It is reported that revenues for the quarter increased 13 percent to $10.6 billion and net income increased 18 percent to $768 million.

The company's net sales were $9.2 billion, a 9 percent increase over third quarter 2004 sales of $8.4 billion, and the cash from operations for the third quarter of 2005 was $893 million.
