Pratt, Hamilton Sundstrand see quarterly growth: UTC earnings jump 18.75 percent despite Sikorsky strike

Article Abstract:

The first quarter earnings per share of the year 2006 increased nearly 20 percent of United Technologies Corp. (UTC) in spite of a strike that took place at its Sikorsky Aircraft helicopter unit. It is reported that revenues for the quarter increased 13 percent to $10.6 billion and net income increased 18 percent to $768 million.

Aerospace helps lift United Technologies 2nd quarter, 1st half

The aerospace operations have helped the United Technologies Corp. to post higher sales and earnings for its second quarter of 2005 fiscal year. While the company has reported revenue of $11.5 billion, its helicopter unit, Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. has reported revenue of $704 million for the second quarter of the year 2005.

Lockheed profit for quarter, year-to-date takes off

Article Abstract:

The profits of the third-largest defense contractor Lockheed Martin Corp. have increased nearly 40 percent in the third quarter of 2005. The company's net sales were $9.2 billion, a 9 percent increase over third quarter 2004 sales of $8.4 billion, and the cash from operations for the third quarter of 2005 was $893 million.
