Protecting the investors' interests

Article Abstract:

The nominated advisers, Nomads, of the investment market must make sure that all their clients' stock exchange announcements are thoroughly scrutinized. The Nomads ensure that there is paper evidence from the director confirming the number of shares bought or sold, with the dates of transactions, and will also check to see that the director has not accidentally breached any rules, such as trading shares in his own company during a `close' period when he is technically barred from dealing.

Getting down to the OFR

Article Abstract:

Companies need to focus on ensuring that all the data used as the basis for operating and financial reviews (OFR) disclosure is robust and validated, in developing their OFR. Meanwhile, companies are preparing their first statutory OFRs, how they fit in with corporate social responsibility (CSR) disclosure is discussed.
