Raptor, aircraft carrier cuts will work: Admiral
Article Abstract:
An Admiral of the Joint Staff reported that the planned cuts in the F/A-22 Raptor aircraft program and in the number of aircraft carrier groups will not leave the armed forces short of needed capabilities. Raptor is the most advanced fighter aircraft that is extremely stealthy and very popular in the Air Force, but it isn't the only component of the air dominance issue confronting the Air Force. The cut in the number of Navy aircraft carrier groups in the budget plan have attracted some opposition from the lawmakers.
