Russell Paquette virtually started forecasting and investment procedures at the Washington based REI, which is a recreational equipment supplier. REI was already $698 million member-owned cooperative at the time Paquette joined it. The job was huge. The strategic steps that Paquette took to set up the treasury are discussed.
