Life with the dogs

Article Abstract:

Some stocks have not performed well in terms of their stock prices, but there may still be a case for retaining them. EMI ranks fifth in the US market, and it is involved in selling recorded music, which could be a profitable market over the long term. Reckitt and Colman faces strong competition in a market that is price-sensitive, that of household goods. Williams has moved away from being a conglomerate and focuses on security products. EMI has undergone management changes, and Reckitt is going through the process, while Williams has yet to start. The profit margins for the three companies are good, though there is a lack of growth.

Stocking fillers with a future

Article Abstract:

There are a number of stocks which could make attractive Christmas presents, and they could be divided into stocks suitable for men, and others suitable for women, though this may appear sexist. It is more difficult to choose gifts for men than it is for women. Investors can escape the imagery used in media presentations of Christmas gifts for men and women, and seek to make a profit by buying stocks for their loved ones. Laura Ashley and Bloomsbury Publishing are among stocks suitable for women, and Henlys and Mayflower among those suitable for men.
