The fraud chasers

Article Abstract:

There is a growing demand for forensic accountants in the UK. This trend is being driven by the increasing number of fraud cases being exposed and of lawyers requiring more convincing evidence. To succeed in forensic accounting, practitioners must have good academic records, excellent oral and written communication skills and keen interest in law. They must also be technically adept, able to converse with lawyers and able to defend their positions in the court of law. It is also helpful to be outgoing, skeptical and diplomatic. Accountants who choose this area can look forward to competitive salaries and a high level of satisfaction. Two British accountants who went into forensic accounting are profiled.
