RAIDers of the next millennium
Article Abstract:
RAID (redundant array of independent disks) technology offers accountants an opportunity to enhance their data storage activities. The RAID storage system may include uninterruptible power supplies and cooling fans for added data protection and utilizes at least three drives for data striping applications. The device is also fault tolerant, allowing it to recover in case one component fails. It is particularly suitable to mission-critical applications.

Who killed LRP? Hello SRP!
Article Abstract:
Corporate America has apparently dropped a former favorite buzzword, long range planning (LRP), from its arsenal of jargons. LRP became popular in the 1960s and 1970s. While the demise of LRP is not exactly lamented, the emergence of short range planning (SRP) is not lauded either. Planning on several levels simultaneously is prescribed rather than the current favorite SRP.
