Total Renal Care Hold Inc. - TRL(Brief Article)

Article Abstract:

Shareholders at Total Renal Care Holdings have been taking profit by reducing their shares and selling as much as 55% of their holdings. On Aug 15, 1997, a total of 465,000 shares at the price of $43.25 each have been disposed. Chmn Victor Chaltiel reduced 38% from his holdings, selling as much as 350,000 shares. General Counsel Barry Cosgrove disposed of 60,000 shares amounting to 55% of his holdings. COO Leonard Frie and CFO John E. King each sold 30% equivalent to 40,000 shares and 45% which is 15,000 of his shares, respectively.

Buying activities involving rehabilitation services provider Novacare's stocks intensified following the announcement of the firm's new corporate objectives and the acquisition of Advanced Orthopedic Technologies. The firm's stocks rose by 30% since June, 1996. From Jul. 16 to Aug. 30, 1996, insiders dominated the buying activity, with John Sabolich, James Walmsley, Robert Healy and Robert Hiscock purchasing a total of 34,750 shares.
