UK: MATTHEW CLARK TO LAUNCH ENCORE SPRITZER
Article Abstract:
Matthew Clark has announced that it may launch its Encore cider spritzer brand in Spring 2000, after piloting it in the take-home drinks market. The Encore spritzer, which is a 3.5% ABV blend of cider and sparkling water, is another attempt by a company to try to broaden the appeal of cider outside the main target group. According to Matthew Clark's senior brand manager, Jo Field, Encore offers young women a refreshing 'adult' drink, and is ideal for occasions such as light lunches.
