UK: MORRISONS DROPS BEAUJOLAIS FOR ENGLISH WINE
Article Abstract:
UK supermarket chain, Morrisons, is to drop Beaujolais Nouveau from its range next year, replacing it with an English white named BullJolly. The decision is based on declining demand for Beaujolais Nouveau and not as a result of the beef war. BullJolly is currently on sale in Morrisons stores and retails at GB[pound] 3.49.

UK: REGIONAL PROMOTION FOR AUSTRALIAN WINES
Article Abstract:
Australian wine producers are putting greater emphasis on the country's better-known wine regions, in order to market their products in the UK. It has been suggested that the UK wine market is currently sophisticated enough to appreciate regional wine, as opposed to just differing grape varieties. According to Simon Legge of Southcorp Wines, there is a certain status associated with regional wines, as highlighted by the popular French labels. As a result, advertisements will appear in the UK press emphasising South Australia's Coonawarra region, Western Australia's Margaret River and the Yarra Valley in Victoria.
