Undergrads help APL engineers devise recon airship
Article Abstract:
Three undergraduate students at the Johns Hopkins University have built a model airship designed to help professional engineers develop a military craft to conduct surveillance at the outer edge of the Earth's atmosphere. The students prototype consists of a 17-foot-long helium-filled blimp, four propellers and sophisticated electronics.
