United Defense marketing truck-mounted Howitzer to Army

Article Abstract:

United Defense L.P. (UDLP) is marketing a truck-mounted 155-mm howitzer to the Army with the hope to tap into the service's growing interest in new field artillery systems. The Caesar is a 155-mm self-propelled gun developed by France's Giant Industries, which would offer greater mobility than traditional towed howitzer systems, and would be much lighter than the M109A6 Paladin 155 mm self-propelled howitzer currently in service with the Army.
