A job fair in cyberspace
Article Abstract:
Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL hosted an online job fair in Feb 23-27, 1998. Its main objectives were to gain the interest of major companies, solving the problem of cramped space in the campus and prevent of strain on their limited personnel. Students were given the opportunity to access the Internet to submit their resumes and examine the backgrounds of companies. Recruitment officers were able to review applications before meeting prospective employees.

Counseling mid-life career changers
Article Abstract:
Research indicates that career counselors can help middle-aged jobseekers to understand their aspirations and confront their fears when facing a change of career. Time should be taken to consider such cases carefully. Counselors are handling an increasing number of cases among middle aged people, with 40% of the working population now middle aged.
