Article Abstract:
Changing technology has influenced college career centers providing more efficient and effective services such as the computerization of resumes and candidate data bases. In a survey of the career centers by the American Association of Collegiate Schools of Business, 59% revealed use of electronic data bases. Other commonly used tools include laser printers for resume printing, resume writing software, fax and e-mail for on-line job advertising, and electronic data bases to access information. 215 centers reported using computerized counseling assessment technology to measure student skills.

Career liaisons: a joint venture between academic and student affairs
Article Abstract:
Colorado State University has developed a career liaison program which is a combination of the centralized and decentralized career center approaches currently practised by other universities. The College Career Liaison program involves graduates of master's degree in counseling with graduate or undergraduate degrees from their colleges. The career liaisons, therefore, act as credible link between the university's career center and their respective colleges.
