A calorimetry and light scattering study of the formation and shape transition of mixed micelles of E[O.sub.20]P[P.sub.68]E[O.sub.20] triblock copolymer (P123) and nonionic surfactant ([C.sub.12]E[O.sub.6])
Article Abstract:
Isothermal titration, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and static and dynamic light scattering (SLS and DLS) are used to investigate the interaction between the nonionic surfactant [C.sub.12]E[O.sub.6] and the poly(ethylene oxide)-poly(propylene oxide)-poly(ethylene oxide) triblock copolymer E[O.sub.20]P[P.sub.68]E[O.sub.20] (P123). The retarded kinetics of shape transition is detected in titration calorimetric experiments and the rate of growth is found to increase with the total concentration.

Titration calorimetric study of the interaction between ionic surfactants and uncharged polymers in aqueous solution
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze the interaction between uncharged polymers and ionic surfactants in dilute aqueous solution using isothermal titration microcalorimetry. The 2277 TAM Thermal Activity Monitory system was utilized to carry out calorimetric measurements in a high-precision thermostatic bath. Experimental results indicated that the presence of extra salt and polarity of counterions influenced the interaction between polymers and surfactants.

Interfaces in self-assembling diblock copolymer systems: characterization of poly(isoprene-b-methyl methacrylate) micelles in acetonitrile
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze the characteristics of dipolar nonradiative energy transfer between dyes confined to the core-corona interface area of poly(isoprene-b-methyl methacrylate) block copolymers in acetonitrile. A distribution framework for energy transfer in spherical micelles was utilized to carry out the analysis. The volume per block junction was then determined by dividing the total interface volume by the aggregation number.
