Adsorption and coadsorption of cations at silica/CH3CN interface - comparison of electrical double-layered model with site-binding model

Article Abstract:

Experimental investigation is made to examine the adsorption of nonlinear optical molecular probing cation DMP(super +), and coadsorption with singly charged organic and inorganic cations at silica/Ch3CN interfaces using non linear optical generation. The results indicated that the site-binding model has clear advantages over the electrical double layer model in understanding the chemical interaction at silica liquid surface.

I-D reversible phase of chemisorbed N2 on stepped Pt surfaces

Article Abstract:

The behavior of the N2 phase absorbed exclusively on the steps of Pt(335) and Pt(779) surfaces is studied at 88 K under N2 gas flux by reflection-absorption infrared spectroscopy and molecular beam absorption experiments. It is concluded that the saturated I-D chemisorbed layer of N2 on the stepped surfaces can be populated additionally at 88K under a N2 molecular flux.

Bonding and structure of 1,4-cyclohexadiene chemisorbed on Si(100)(2x1)

Article Abstract:

The interface bonding and the adsorbed state of 1,4-cyclohexadiene on Si(100)(2x1) and its coverage dependence are investigation. It was found that the chemisorption state of 1,4-cyclohexadiene on Si(100)(2x1) surface is invariable at any coverage.
