Adsorption isotherm and freezing of Kr in a single cylindrical pore

Article Abstract:

Measurements of adsorption-desorption isotherms in a wide temperature range 82-110 K for Kr confined in a cylindrical pores of SBA-15 with a mean radius of 3.2 nm and measurements of adsorption isotherms and X-ray diffraction patterns in a temperature range 80-92 K are performed to examine the relationship between the adsorption isotherm and the freezing behavior of a confined Kr. Hysteresis loops in the whole temperature range examined are observed.

Direct measurement of the stability of the supramolecular synthon C6H6.C6F6

Article Abstract:

A spectroscopy study of the van der Waals complex between benzene and hexafluorobenzene formed in liquid krypton solutions is reported. It is suggested that the interaction energy of arenes with fluorinated arenes in solution is substantially smaller than that of a typical hydrogen bond and would not be expected to result in persistent structural features in solution.

High-pressure carbon monoxide adsorption on Pt(111) revisited: a sum frequency generation study

Article Abstract:

CO adsorption on Pt(111) at 160 and 400K show that CO adsorbs on on-top sites, independent of gas pressure from 10(super -1) mbar to 500 mbar. There was no indication of pressure induced changes or for a high pressure "low frequency" CO species.
