An EPR study of two-electron sensitization by fragmentable electron donors
Article Abstract:
A study on EPR spectroscopy is conducted for the process of hole capture, donor fragmentation, and secondary electron injection by fragmentable electron donors (FEDs) in AgBr dispersions. It is found that the FED sensitization mechanisms originally take place at silver halide surfaces and results in the additional electrons in the silver halide conduction brand.

Semiempirical equations for modeling solid-state kinetics based on a Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution of activation energies: Applications to a polymorphic transformation under crystallization slurry conditions and to the thermal decomposition of AgMnO4 crystals
Article Abstract:
The functional form of a Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution is used to describe the distribution of activation energies for the reagent solids. A simple two-parameter equation's ability is demonstrated to successfully model the experimental x-t data for the polymorphic transformation of a pharmaceutical compound under crystallization slurry conditions.

Rich coordination chemistry of Au adatoms in gold sulfide monolayer on Au(111)
Article Abstract:
The structure and rich coordination chemistry of an ordered incommensurate AuS adlayer that forms on Au(111) following the deposition of sulfur and annealing to 450 K are examined. Bonding analysis based on Wannier functions have shown that the model displays rich coordination chemistry corresponding to different Au oxidation states.
