Can linear micelles bridge between two surfaces?

Article Abstract:

A two-gradient self-consistent field model is used to demonstrate that linear micelles exist in the bulk solution, and that these linear micelles can be used as connectors of two surfactant films covering two surfaces in close proximity. The nonionic surfactant [C.sub.12][E.sub.6] is employed to show that surfactant bridges are thermodynamically possible and that they can provide a strong driving force to bring colloidal particles together.

Heating-induced micelle to vesicle transition in the cationic-anionic surfactant systems: Comprehensive study and understanding

Article Abstract:

Heating-induced micelle to vesicle transition (MVT) was systematically studied in a number of mixed cationic-anionic surfactant systems. The effects of several physicochemical factors, which include the variation of mixed surfactant ratios and the addition of n-decanol on the heating-induced MVT, were also studied.
