Crystal structures of the NO and N(sub 2)O(sub 4) sorption complexes of fully dehydrated fully Cd(super 2+) -exchanged zeolite X (FAU): Coordination of neutral NO and N(sub 2)O(sub 4) to Cd(super 2+)

Article Abstract:

The structures of nitric oxide and dinitrogen tetroxide sorption complexes of dehydrated fully Cd(super 2+) -exchanged zeolite X (FAU) are determined using single-crystal X-ray diffraction in the cubic space group Fd3m at 21(1) degree Celsius. Ion exchange was accomplished by allowing an aqueous stream 0.05 M in Cd(super 2+) to flow past each crystal for five days.

Cation crowding in zeolites. Reinvestigation of the crystal structure of dehydrated potassium-exchanged zeolite X

Article Abstract:

The structure of a single crystal of fully dehydrated K+ exchange zeolite X was determined by x-ray defraction methods in the cubic space group. The remaining 36 K+ ions are found at one III and two III'sites, these appear to be close in energy for K+ ions so that no single site is preferred.

Reinvestigation of the crystal structure of dehydrated sodium zeolite X

Article Abstract:

Issues concerning the positions of the Na+ ions in dehydrated zeolite X are discussed. There is no evidence to support the view that significant differences in Si/Al ordering make various zeolite X samples nonequivalent.
