Dynamic shear modulus of tricresyl phosphate and squalane
Article Abstract:
It has been traditionally accepted that the viscosity of liquids supercooled toward their glass transition temperature is simply proportional to the relaxation time. A study was therefore conducted to test the proposal that this relationship might be violated if certain relaxation processes decouple from the viscosity. The experiment therefore measured the shear modulus and viscosity of two, fragile glass-forming, supercooled liquids, tricresyl phosphate and squalene. Results are discussed.

Giant reduction in dynamic modulus of k-carrageenan magnetic gels
Article Abstract:
Effects of magnetization on the complex modulus of k-carrageenan magnetic gels are investigated. Results reveal that the change in the modulus was nearly independent of the magnetization of the frequency.
