In situ STM study of CdTe ECALE bilayers on gold
Article Abstract:
Research was conducted to examine the epitaxial growth of CdTe bilayers electrodeposited onto Au single-crystal surfaces using in situ scanning tunneling microscopy. Alternate reductive underpotential deposition (UPD) of Cd and Te and the electrochemical atomic layer epitaxy method were used to generate the films. Results indicate that the growth of the bilayer is dominated by the requirement to achieve stoichiometry and the initial coverage of the Te UPD layer is of overriding importance during the initial growth phase.

Nanoscale photocurrent variations at metal-modified semiconductor surfaces
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze the electronic characteristics of nanoscale-modified WSe2 semiconductor surfaces using photocurrents determined by scanning tunneling microscopy. Studies were carried out in ambient air, in dry nitrogen atmosphere, and in electrolytes under potentiostatic control. Results indicated that the influence of recombination and charges on the photocurrent can be separated by a combination of photocurrent measurements and local current voltage curves.

Spontaneous formation of triptycene supramolecules on surfaces
Article Abstract:
A report on the formation of three-dimensional triptycene clusters with a particularly stable structure is presented. Results show that it is possible to investigate complex pathways in the formation of three-dimensional supramolecules at surfaces using a scanning tunneling microscope.
