Dynamics in the presence of attractive patchy interactions
Article Abstract:
Monte Carlo and event-driven molecular dynamics simulations of a liquid composed of particles interacting through hard-sphere interactions complemented by four tetrahedrally coordinated short-range attractive spots is reported. Results are discussed in connection with colloidal dispersions of sticky particles and gel-forming proteins and their ability to form dynamically arrested states.

On the possibility of extending the Noro-Frenkel generalized law of correspondent states to nonisotropic patchy interactions
Article Abstract:
Studies have provided evidence that different short-ranges nonspherical potentials, but with the same number of single-bond patches, have obeyed a generalized law of correspondent states (GLCS). The breakdowns of the GLCS is expected for potentials that have differed in their angular part, as the statistical weight of the closed loops of bonds are affected by the angular patch size.

On static and dynamic heterogeneities in water
Article Abstract:
The differences in dynamics and in properties of the sampled potential energy landscape between different equilibrium trajectories, is analyzed for a system of rigid water molecules interacting with a two-body potential. A strong correlation is observed between the mean square displacement of the individual trajectories and the average energy of the sampled landscape.
