Effect of double bonds on the conducting properties of ciguatoxin 3C and tetrahydropyrane-based polymers: A theoretical study
Article Abstract:
The Kohn-Shan model is used to study the effect of double bonds on the Gaussian and plane wave functions of ciguatoxin 3C and other tetrahydropyrane-based polymers. The result suggests that the double bonds reduces the energy gap considerably and hence can be linked with biological systems to be used as precursor to build electric conducting systems.

Controlled etching of Au:SR compounds
Article Abstract:
It has been demonstrated that the inorganic core size of 14 kDa Au:SR cluster compounds can be decreased by etching in neat thiol. Mass spectrometry, X-ray diffraction and optical absorption spectroscopy were used to monitor this process.
