Electrochemical modification of vertically aligned carbon nanotube arrays
Article Abstract:
An electrochemical approach is developed to produce modified, nonagglomerated and three-dimensional free-standing carbon nanotube (CNT) arrays vertically aligned on a porous network of conductive carbon microfibers. It is shown that the unidirectionally aligned and laterally spaced geometry of the CNT array can be fully retained after being subjected to each step of electrochemical modification and also the open-tipped CNTs can be electrochemically detached in full lengths from the supported substrates.

Cationic prevesicle and vesicle nanoaggregates: An experimental and theoretical study
Article Abstract:
The formation of instant mixed prevesicles and vesicles comprising of a cationic double-chain surfactant, didecyldimethylammonium bromide and a cationic single-chain alkyltrimethylammonium bromide with 10 and/or 14 carbon atoms is studied. The presence of two crucial aggregation concentrations in the much diluted concentrations domains where the conductivity plot demonstrates a zigzag pattern is detected and the theoretical predictions confirm the stability of the pure and mixed vesicles.

Dielectrophoresis of surface conductance modulate single-walled carbon nanotubes using surfactants
Article Abstract:
The effects of surface conductivity of semiconducting single walled carbon nanotubes (SWNT), induced by ionic surfactants, on the sign of dielectrophoretic force was examined. The crossover frequency of semiconducting SWNT increases rapidly as the conductivity ratio between the particle and medium increases, leading to an incomplete separation of ionic surfactant suspended SWNT at an electric field frequency of 10 MHz.
