Ellipsoidal delocalization of tunneling electrons in long-range electron transfer proteins
Article Abstract:
Donor and acceptor wave functions determined by the IAL Hamiltonian method decay on average exponentially into the protein medium with rates in the experimentally observed range. The part of the medium significant for transfer can be generalized as ellipsoidal in shape.
