Evaporation and the wetting of a low-energy solid surface
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze the evaporation and wetting of a low-energy solid surface. Small drops of triply distilled water were deposited from a syringe onto the surface. The droplet's profile evolution was then obtained using videotape images. In addition, the study was conducted at a temperature of 21 degrees C. Experimental results indicated that the creation of local saturated vapor occurs near the contact line.

Evaporation of microdroplets of azeotropic liquids
Article Abstract:
Data revealing the evolution of contact angle woth time for mixtures of water and 1-propanol at room temperature on poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) is reported. When droplets of water/1-propanol evaporate at 21 degree Celsius from the surface of PMMA two contrasting types of behavior is observed depending on whether 1-propanol or water is present as the component in excess in an azeotropic mixture.

Measurements of equilibrium pressures and temperatures for propane hydrate in silica gels with different pore-sized distributions
Article Abstract:
A simple experimental setup could be used for measuring the equilibrium pressures and temperature data for the dissociation of propane hydrate ions in silica gels with pores of various size distributions. The effect of pore size on the formation and dissociation of propane hydrate in porous media could be delineated.
