FRANCE: RECYCLING STYRENE PACKAGING IN 1998
Article Abstract:
According to figures from the French Plastic Materials Syndicate, 5,040 tonnes of packaging materials made of expanded polystyrene were recycled in 1998, up 39% from 3,620 tonnes in 1997. Of this total, 5,000 tonnes of expanded polystyrene industrial and commercial packaging was recycled, which represented 23% of all expanded polystyrene industrial and commercial materials put on the market in 1998, which totalled 21,500 tonnes.
