Fluorescence lifetime enhancement of organic chromophores attached to gold nanoparticles
Article Abstract:
The first experimental evidence of fluorescence lifetime enhancement of organic chromophores attached to metal nanospheres through radiative decay engineering is demonstrated. It is observed that fluorescence quantum yield of the hybrid system is not reduced, proof of a weak energy transfer between the molecular probe and t he nanoparticle.

Chromophore localization in conjugated polymers: molecular dynamics simulation
Article Abstract:
The localization and extension of chromophores on poly(phenylene vinylene) (PPV) molecules is studied by using molecular dynamics simulations to determine its dependence on temperature. The findings reveal significant deviations from the ideal structure leading to chromophore localization if the system is simulated at finite temperature.

Fluorescence emission of Disperse Red 1 in solution at room temperature
Article Abstract:
The fluorescence emission of Disperse Red 1 in solution at room temperature is reported. The positions of the different transitions in the pseudo-stilbene azobenzene dye are determined by applying a Gaussian decomposition method to the absorption spectra along with the excitation spectra.
