GERMANY: OLI LACKE COMPLETES INVESTMENTS

Article Abstract:

German Oberlichtenau-based Oli Lacke GmbH will complete a EUR 10mn investment programme by installing new machinery worth about EUR 500,000 at its modernised factory. Oli Lacke was acquired by Mr Frank Temmen in 1992. With 50 staff, it produces 1,200 different products for the metal, furniture and toy industries and for craftsmen. About 70% of the output is sold regionally.

GERMANY: PPG TO CONCENTRATE PRODUCTION

Article Abstract:

PPG Industries is to close the production of automotive coatings in Saarwellingen, Germany, by end of March 2002. The production will be relocated to Wuppertal and other European factories of the Pittsburgh, US-based group. The Wuppertal plant will concentrate on water-borne and powder coatings.
