GERMANY: PILOT LABORATORY FOR DYSTAR
Article Abstract:
In Leverkusen, Germany, DyStar has put into operation a pilot laboratory in order to improve gel-dyeing of polyacryl nitrile fibres. In the gel method, fibres are spun and dyed in an integrated process. DyStar sees further growth potential for the method, which is already used in the production of 25% of acrylic fibres. DyStar is a joint venture of Bayer and Hoechst.
