Deviation from corresponding states for a fluid of square well spherocylinders
Article Abstract:
A simple perturbation theory, where the thermodynamics of the anisotropic fluid is mapped to that of an equivalent system, is used to analyze the nonconformal characteristics of a fluid composed of hard spherocylinders featuring a spherocylindrical square well attraction. The square well model, where the range parameter can be changed without ddifficulty, is capable of describing the vapor-liquid coexistence of the alkane chain series from ethane to octane.

Thermodynamic study of the glass transition in polyamine-polyalcohol mixtures: entropy-theoretical interpretation of anomalous glass transition behavior
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze the glass transition temperatures of binary mixtures of polyamines and polyalcohols using differential scanning calorimetry. The extra H-bonds were assumed to be formed in the polyamine-polyalcohol systems. Results indicated the importance of polyamine-polyalcohol systems in determining which structure is controllable to some extent using the H-bonds in supercooled liquids.
