Heterogeneity of Bronsted acidic sites in faujasite type zeolites due to aluminum content and framework structure
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze the effect of aluminum for silicon substitutions in the tetrahedral sites of the faujasite framework supporting low and high aluminum content on the characteristics of Bronsted sites. Computational methods were utilized to carry out the analyses. Experimental results indicated that the acidity of Bronsted acidic sites in faujasites is determined by the aluminum for silicon substitutions in the nearest area of the silicon atom of the Al-O(H)-Si bridge.

Models of (ZrO2)n complexes intercalated into montmorillonite
Article Abstract:
The properties of several model zirconium dioxide complexes (ZrO2)N intercalated into the interlayer space of montmorillonite clay are discussed. The study determines the geometrical parameters of introduced molecular complexes of different types inside micropores of various widths.
