Oxidative chloride adsorption and lead Upd on Cu(100): investigations into surfactant-assisted epitaxial growth
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze the effects of chloride adsorption and lead upd on the step properties of Cu(100) in acid perchlorate solution. Crystal substrates were polished to a 0.1 micron diamond finish before they were electropolished in phosphoric acid. Results indicated that the adlayer supports an order-disorder transformation resulting from negative potentials. Findings also showed that transformation from the halide to the lead adlayer correlated with the formation of vacancies and adatoms.

Langmuir monolayers of monodispersed magnetic nanoparticles coated with a surfactant
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze the Langmuir monolayers of monodispersed magnetic nanoparticles coated with a surfactant. Ultrapure deionized water was utilized as the subphase. The particles were prepared by alkalinization with ammonia at room temperature. Experimental results indicated that particles spontaneously form dense aggregates in a monolayer of hydrophobic monodisperse magnetic nanoparticles deposited on a water subphase.
