TAIWAN: LURGI WINS WASTE PLANT CONTRACT
Article Abstract:
Evergreen Heavy Industrial Corp of Taiwan has placed a DM 200mn contract with Lurgi Entsorgung of Ratingen, Germany, for the construction of a waste incineration plant in the north of Taiwan on a turn-key basis. With a capacity of 1,250 tonnes per day, the plant will be the biggest in Taiwan and the first one built by private investors. The Taiwanese government is planning to build another 15 such plants.
