Light effect on the spiral wave period in a ferroin-catalyzed Belousov-Zhabotinsky reaction
Article Abstract:
A He-Ne laser beam is used to measures the relation between the spiral period and the intensity of the laser beam, in an excitable ferroin-catalyzed Belousov-Zhabotinsky reaction. From the measurements it is found that the period dependence on light intensity has a fast increase phase and a slow increase phase.

Homogeneous crystal nucleation triggered by spinodal decomposition in polymer solutions
Article Abstract:
The dynamic Monte Carlo simulations of homogeneous polymer crystal nucleation triggered by prior spinodal decomposition in polymer solutions are presented. The results show that the prior spinodal decomposition gives crystallites with uniform sizes and better homogeneity.
