Metamorphosis from LCEP to UCEP in the metastable three-phase region
Article Abstract:
Binary gas-liquid mixtures contain three-phase lines of finite length. A description of the plait-point transformation is given based on the behavior of the closed loop binodal in relation to the main binodal in the V(x) plots. The horizontal tieline refers to that which is between two points with different values of x but small differences in the value of V. All binodals are completely connected during the plait-point transformation and no distinction exists between the main bulge and the additional closed loop.

Structure and properties of NaCl and the Suzuki phase Na6CdCl8
Article Abstract:
An investigation is presented into the theory that Na6CdCl8 can exist only as precipitates in a surrounding NaCl matrix. The structure and properties of NACl and the Suzuki phase of Na6CdCl8 is presented.
