Microperoxidase-8 associated to CTAB Micelles: a new catalyst with peroxidase activity

Article Abstract:

The mechanism of reaction between a MP-8/CTAB micelle complex and peroxides are studied where MP-8/CTAB complex behaves as a lipoenzyme and exhibits interesting redox characteristics. The most interesting characteristic of this enzyme is that the active side is a pocket form not by a structured polypeptide chain, but by a detergent aggregate.

A computational method to identify residues important in creating a protein promoting vibration in enzymes

Article Abstract:

A method is presented to screen a large set of protein residues to identify those residues the motions of which help create a protein promoting vibration and important for catalysis. The method is illustrated for the case of horse liver alcohol dehydrogenase (HLADH).

A numerical approach to modeling the catalytic voltammetry of surface-confined redox enzymes

Article Abstract:

A finite difference method for simulating voltammograms of electrochmically driven enzyme catalysis is presented. The method enables any enzyme mechanism to be simulated.
